The recent Christmas Market at the International School of Provence was an undeniable success, bringing together students, parents, and staff in the true spirit of giving.
Organized by IBS & PIBS (Parents of IBS), the event raised an impressive 2,500 euros for charity. This substantial sum has been donated to the local association "L'Enfant Bleu" which has been at the forefront of child protection since 1989.
The organization’s dedicated professionals and volunteers work tirelessly to combat physical, sexual, and psychological abuse of children. Their efforts include supporting victims through legal and psychological challenges, conducting prevention programs in schools, raising public awareness, and advocating for improvements in the child protection system.
The decision to support L’Enfant Bleu was driven by votes organised by PIBS in collaboration with parents, ensuring the chosen cause resonated deeply with the community.
The success of the Christmas Market would not have been possible without the collective efforts of the IBS community. IBS of Provence extends heartfelt gratitude to everyone who contributed their time and energy to make this event a success. Special thanks go to the many volunteers who devoted their time and energy, as well as to the local partners who contributed 20% of their sales to the charity, including:
Trois Petits Gâteaux, a pâtissier specializing in gingerbread houses.
Maison VESSEL, showcasing artisanal tableware handcrafted in Portugal.
Layer & Plouf, providing outdoor equipment and stylish water-sport clothing.
Author Caroline Sulzer, selling her collection of short stories, "Petites et grandes trahisons du quotidien"
Segametse Raguin, representing LR Health and Beauty.Jewelry and craft artisans, including Garcia Raquel, Estelle de Oliveira, Manuela Castaño, and Giovanna Lombardi.
Additionally, the IBS Art Department and the Parent Christmas Committee generously donated handcrafted items that were sold at the market, showcasing their creativity and commitment.
The funds raised will undoubtedly make a meaningful impact on L’Enfant Bleu’s vital mission.
This holiday season, the IBS community has shown how powerful collective action can be in bringing hope and support to those who need it most. Thank you for embodying the spirit of generosity and making a difference.
