Global Perspective week at IBS Primary

On Monday 5 June, a field trip was organised for the CE2 classes. The aim of the visit was to learn about permaculture and organic market gardening. On the farm, the children harvested and weighed the vegetables. They planted, weeded and even tasted the strawberries. We went home with herbs and baskets of organic vegetables. The sun shone and the strawberries were delicious. - On Thursday morning, Geoffroy, the canteen chef, spoke on the subject of waste. - On Friday, the IBS cooks prepared a 'mega aperitif' for the CE2s using vegetables from our baskets. Thanks to the whole team from the teachers of the CE2 classes. The children really enjoyed themselves !!!!! Here's the recipe: - Courgettes sautéed in olive oil. - Fried aubergines. - Beans with parsley - Raw and steamed broad beans. - Sliced fennel with lemon - Green salad - Sliced cucumbers. Nizar El Bejaoui CE2 - CM2 Teacher / coordinator.
