GREASQUE MINE VISIT FOR 4EME STUDENTS

On April 1st, IBS 4ème students trekked off to the neighbouring town of Greasque to visit a mine as part of their History lesson. The visit which included a historical briefing of how the mine worked, the difficulties placed on the mine workers as well as the usage of the material for the community proved to be one History lesson that the students will not forget. Although the mine is no longer in service, the students even had the opportunity to meet with one of the former miners and ask him questions (in French of course!) Thank you to the teachers for planning this hands-on adventure for the students.
