In order to better comprehend overall motivation for learning a foreign language, and particularly the French language, this year the FLE Department initiated a pen-pal exchange program with other students from other countries. Students from 2nde Pre-IB (B1 and B2 levels) in Ms. DECEGLIE and Ms. FRITZ classes started a correspondence by email with students (of the same age and same level) of the Hoang Van Thu School, situated in the province of Hoa Binh in Vietnam. Along the same lines, Ms CATTAZZO's 4ème (or Year 9/8th grade) class started a correspondence by post with students (of the same age and level) of the Haugjordet Junior High School in Langhus (not far from Oslo) in Norway. Thus, the students are able enjoying the opportunity to exchange and communicate beyond borders and learning more about cultural diversity… even in French!
