From Thursday, April 3rd to Saturday, April 12th, 26 students from years 7-10 left for the UK with Mrs Balandier Brown and Mrs Christine Rousseau. On arrival in Bristol, they were greeted by their host families. The weekend started off with a warm reception at Redland Green School where the children were put into classes with English buddies allowing them to experience cooking classes amongst others. On Saturday they were taken by coach to the Hippodrome to see an amazing performance of the Wedding Singer. The highlight of their trip for most! Every weekday morning was spent in English lessons and afternoon visiting places such as the Bristol zoo, The Science Centre, a visit to Wales the museum of Welsh life and an afternoon in Bath visiting the Roman Baths followed by a typical English tea in the Assembly rooms and the all important shopping at the mall on the last day. In addition to having a marvellous time, it proved to be a wonderful occasion for the students to integrate into a different culture.
