THE NOT SO ROYAL WEDDING AT IBS

We would like to thank Prince William and Princess Kate for providing us with a good excuse for some royal fun on our English Day on 5th May. Pupils in 6° and 5° wore masks of the royal family and decorated biscuits with Union Jack icing which served as the wedding breakfast. Those who were daring enough posed for a royal wedding photo but didn’t get to keep the ring and tiara since we had to give them back to Kate. Festivities continued throughout the day with the canteen providing fish and chips and apple crumble for lunch, although more sophisticated choices were available for the more sensitive palate, and a grand showing of a typically English film (Mr Bean) rounded off a very enjoyable day. Thanks to Mrs Lawrence and the entire English Department for making the day a success!
